@WEL - Rural watch update 24/04/14

Between the evening of Saturday 19th April and 17:00hrs on Sunday 20th April 2 peacocks and 1 hen valued at £250 have been stolen from Bottom farm in KNIGHTCOTE. Incident 76 of 21st April refers.


Between 21:00hrs Saturday 19th April  and 08:30 Sunday 20th April 2 cast bronze animals ( a stag and a doe ) valued at about £1600 have been taken from  garden in Banbury road KINETON. Incident 84 of 20th April refers.

Sometime overnight a barn has been entered at a farm in Stratford road WELLESBOURNE.
A window has been broken on a VW 4x4 vehicle and an ipad  stolen from within.
Also the contents of a chest freezer, 2 chainsaws, and a Honda strimmer have been stolen.
Enquiries are due to commence this morning. Incident no 45 0f 24/04/14 refers.

Also overnight a burglary has taken place at a golf course in Bearley road SNITTERFIELD.
Again enquiries have commenced. Incident no 53 of 24/04/14 refers.

After a fairly quiet spell it appears that we are seeing a slight increase in bugrlary and theft across our rural area.
The local team will be out on patrol as much as possible to deter this activity and hopefully bring the offenders to justice.
In the meantime please be extra vigilant and report anything suspicious on 101 or obviously 999 if you think a crime is taking or is about to take place.
