Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team Report 4 – 08.12.14
 
This is the fourth of our new, regular and revised report from the Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team covering the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne, Kineton and Burton Dassett.
 
The following incidents, for the period between 29.11.14 to 08.12.14, have been reported and the team are appealing for witnesses:
 
Stratford Oaks Golf Course
01.12.14 Incident No.0165
Theft from vehicle
 
Offenders in a white transit van forced the barrier to the club and removed a Makita battery drill and a Dewalt radio from a worker’s van. They were disturbed and reversed out of the golf club and headed in the direction of Snitterfield.
 
03.12.14 Incident No. 0114
Theft from vehicle
 
A Hilti breaker and a DeWalt drill charger and two batteries, total value £900, have been stolen from a vehicle by forcing the rear lock.
 
Wellesbourne – St Peter’s Church
05.12.14 Incident No. 0118
Criminal damage
 
A ceramic grave marker plaque has been broken and discarded and a plant damaged.
 
Edgehill – Grove End
04.12.14 Incident No. 0238
Burglary
 
The locks to an allotment shed have been forced and a strimmer and petrol can removed. There has also been damage to another shed in the same area.
 
Be aware!
 
Please be aware of your cash and possessions as there have been reports of theft in Wellesbourne Market and cash stolen from the pocket of a coat in a pub.
 
Kineton
Suspicious Circumstances
 
There has been a report of a call from a person claiming to be a member of the Neighbourhood Watch offering free security checks. Be vigilant!
 
Kineton and Wellesbourne  - Drink Driving
 
A person was arrested in Kineton on suspicion of drink driving and charged to court for the offence. A second person was stopped just outside Wellesbourne and reported for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and no insurance.
