Monica Fogarty appointed Warwickshire County Council’s next Chief Executive

The appointment of Monica Fogarty as Warwickshire County Council’s next Chief Executive was confirmed by Council at its meeting on 16 October.
Monica will take over the reins in April upon the retirement of David Carter. They have shared managerial duties for the County Council since Jim Graham’s retirement in February 2017 and have, in that time, put in place many of the measures that will underpin the Council’s transformation. The current arrangements will continue until David’s retirement.

Event held to celebrate high growth of Warwickshire businesses

Warwickshire celebrated the successes of its high growth businesses at a special event at The Old Shire Hall in Warwick this week.
Mayor of the West Midlands and Chair of the West Midlands Combined Authority, Andy Street, joined Leader of Warwickshire County Council, Councillor Izzi Seccombe, to congratulate and acknowledge the achievements of a number of the county’s small to medium sized businesses.

Cllr Clarke with new gritter

New vehicles to join Warwickshire’s gritting fleet

After its current fleet travelled the equivalent of 4.6 journeys around the world last winter, Warwickshire County Council has updated its winter fleet to ensure that Warwickshire’s roads are geared up for the winter conditions.
The county council has strengthened its winter maintenance fleet with the procurement of 14 replacement vehicles, at a cost of £780,000.
