Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team Report 35 – 02.09.15
 
This report from the Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team covers the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne, Kineton and Burton Dassett.
 
The following incidents, for the period between 25.08.15 – 02.09.15 have been reported and the team are appealing for witnesses:
 
Snitterfield Ward
 
Snitterfield – Highfield Close
Suspicious Circumstances – 30.08.15/318
Report of travellers calling and asking for money, making elderly residents feel vulnerable.
 
Mount Pleasant – Snitterfield Road
Suspicious Circumstances – 26.08.15/078
Report of a male calling at door and saying his car had broken down and he had been walking for three hours and needed to get to Warwick hospital where his daughter was in labour. Police responded and acted on the information given.
 
Wellesbourne Ward
 
Wellesbourne – Hastings Road
Suspicious Circumstances – 01.09.15/385
Report of a young male, wearing beanie hat, appearing to be spray painting fencing. Police were involved but the male was not located.
 
Wellesbourne – Pembroke Gardens
Suspicious Circumstances – 30.08.15/266
Report of two males driving in a white Audi, who pointed a key fob at informant’s car and then tried the door handle which remained locked. They then went up the road and pointed the fob at other vehicles before driving off.
 
Wellesbourne – Kineton Road
Theft – 27.08.15/082
Offenders have drilled a hole in the nearside door of a grey VW transported to gain entry but nothing was stolen.
 
Ashorne – Farm location
Suspicious circumstances – 25.08.15/305
Suspicious vehicle came down a long driveway and the female driver reported that she had left the main road as she was feeling unwell. She did not want any medical attention. Informant was concerned that the property was being scoped.
 
Lighthorne Heath – Birdhaven Close
Burglary – 27.08.15/126
Up and over garage door was opened and kept open by a bin. Nothing was stolen.
 
Burton Dassett Ward
Edgehill – Allotments
Theft – 31.08.15/249
Small gas stove and cylinders stolen from a polytunnel.
 
Theft – 26.08.15/365
2 sheds were entered. A gas stove, 2 gas bottles, a Bosch cordless drill, a pair of binoculars and a toolkit were stolen.
 
Edgehill
Burglary – 26.08.15/077
Entry forced to a garage and industrial weighing scales stolen. Entry was also forced to a secured tack room but at the time it was not known if anything was stolen.
 
Foxbury – isolated location
Theft – 27.08.15/337
Over the last few months a large amount of paving slabs and bricks have been stolen from an outdoor store.
