Cold Calling Alert – Cold callers enquiring about ‘insulation’
We are warning residents to be on their guard after receiving reports of cold calls in Stratford District.
The cold caller will claim they need to ‘check’ your existing insulation with some stating they are ‘part of a Government backed scheme’ and that ‘old’ insulation is ‘unsafe’ and ‘a potential fire risk’.
We always advise residents to be very wary of claims made by cold callers and never agree to give access to your property or agree to services if approached in this manner.
Make a scam/rogue trader complaint to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 03454 040506.
