@STT - Stratford Town SNT, Incident Report

Here is the weekly report and prompt to see if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions for the Stratford Town Safer Neighbourhood Team. Please expect next week’s newsletter on 31st May. Stratford Town covers the areas of Stratford West (Shottery, Old Town, Mount Pleasant), Stratford East (Maybird, Clopton, Welcome Hills), Town Centre, Stratford South West (Bridgetown), Tiddington and Alveston.

Incidents to note this week (Saturday 16th – Thursday 21st May):
 
STRATFORD WEST
  • Theft Other. Lingfield Crescent. Theft of recycle bin from outside property. Between 8pm 14th – 6pm 15th May.
  • ASB. Portia Road. Two male youths persistently ringing doorbells. 16th and 17th May.
  • Theft Other. Maybird Centre. Theft of iPhone while customer was using store toilets. Between 12-12.30 17th May.
 
 
STRATFORD EAST
No crimes of interest to report.
 
TOWN CENTRE
  • Theft Other. Stratford Leisure Centre. Bicycle stolen from bike rack. Between 10-10.30pm 18th May. 
  • Theft Other. Sheep Street. Theft of iPhone from staff member’s desk. Male offender caused a distraction by asking questions, then put a piece of paper on desk. When he lifted it up, he took the mobile phone with it too. 1.15pm 16th May.
  • Theft Other. Bridge Street. Theft of iPhone from restaurant table. Male offender caused a distraction by asking for directions, and took the mobile phone. 1.15pm 16th May.
  • Theft Other. Waterside. Cash stolen from public ladies’ toilet meter. Between 5-6.30pm 17th May.
  • Burglary. Windsor Street. Cash stolen from public gentlemen’s toilet. Between 4.30-6.45pm 17th May.
  • Theft Other. Bridgefoot Multi-storey Car Park. Attempted theft of cash from gentlemen’s toilet meter. Between 11am 18th – 10am 19th May.
 
STRATFORD SOUTH WEST
No crimes of interest to report.
 
TIDDINGTON
  • Suspicious Circumstances. Stratford Golf Club, Tiddington Road. Theft of cash whilst member of staff held at knifepoint and forced into cupboard. Offender described as white male wearing dark clothing, woolly hat and scarf over the face. Waited in hedgerow/trees at side of building before the offence. 9.30pm 6th May.
 
ALVESTON
No crimes of interest to report.
 
There have been numerous reports of rogue tree surgeons making house calls in a forceful manner in the Shottery area. If you experience such an incident, please contact the Stratford SNT on the below number.

The SNT run Community Engagement Events every Thursday between 10-11am.
Please come down to meet members of the team. We will also be able to provide property marking kits for cycles and personal items such as: mobile phones, laptops and digital cameras. The team also have the new CRE Mark kit available to visibly mark larger items like tools and mowers.
