@SOU - Police Urge Residents To Be Vigilant After Suspicious Activity In Southam

Police are urging residents to be vigilant after suspicious activity in Southam.

One incident happened on Tuesday 11 February at around 10.30am on Linley Road.

A man knocked on the door of a property and began asking the homeowner suspicious questions. He claimed to be doing a questionnaire for the government about television licenses. He asked the homeowner if she had any televisions, smart phones, laptops or tablets in the house.

Another suspicious incident occurred yesterday (Wednesday 12 February) at around 11am in the Linley Road area.

A dark blue vehicle, thought to be a Volkswagen Polo or Golf, which had a Latvian number plate, was driving slowly and acting suspiciously. It was being driven by a man with two women on board.

The two women then got out of the vehicle and attempted to climb over the fence of a property in Linley Road.

If anyone has information on these two incidents, please call police on 101 quoting incidents 202 and 169 of Tuesday 11 February. Any other suspicious activity should also be reported using the non-emergency number.
