Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team Report 31 – 23.07.15
 
This report from the Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team covers the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne, Kineton and Burton Dassett.
 
The following incidents, for the period between 11.07.15 – 23.07.15 have been reported and the team are appealing for witnesses:
 
Wellesbourne – St James’ Ave
Suspicious circumstances – 20.07.15/248
Report of a male, driving a silver Ford Focus, taking photographs of house. He drove off when confronted by a neighbour.
 
Wellesbourne Mountford Close
Fire – 19.07.15/334
Substantial damage caused to hedging, properties, garden contents and a vehicle, by a fire which was deliberately started in hedging. This incident is currently being investigated by the police.
 
Wellesbourne – Village Hall
Vehicle crime – 14.07.15/213
Peugeot van broken into by forcing lock on door – Festool router; Festool plunge saw; Paslode nail gun; 2 Bosche battery drills; trim router; Milwaukee hammer drill and a Husqvarna chain store stolen. All times are etched with ‘MB’. SNT carried out house to house enquiries and a leaflet drop..
 
Kineton – Village Hall
Vehicle crime – 12.07.15/285
Front passenger of window of black Hyundai smashed and informant’s bag stolen. SNT carried out house to house enquiries.
 
Warmington
Suspicious circumstances – 14.07.15/151
Report of trespassers in allotments who have causes damage to sheds. It is not yet known whether any items have been stolen.
 
Community Priorities:
 
The SNT continue to make regular patrols in the lay-by area off Ettington Road and have engaged with vehicle drivers and others in the area.
 
The B4100 has been patrolled and there have been no significant incidents to report.
 
Speed checks have been carried out in Morton Morrell – all vehicles were within the limit, with the exception of one driving at 35 mph.
 
There have been extra patrols in the Burton Dassett area.
