@WEL - Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team Report 29 – 04.07.15


 
This report from the Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team covers the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne, Kineton and Burton Dassett.
 
The following incidents, for the period between 27.06.15 – 04.07.15 have been reported and the team are appealing for witnesses:
 
Snitterfield Ward
 
Wolverton – Wolverton Primary School
Theft from Vehicle – 02.07.15/233
The informant placed a laptop and handbag into the boot of a red Ford Fiesta. The rear windscreen was later smashed and the items stolen.

Suspicious behaviour
There have been two reports of people acting suspiciously in the area. Please call 101 if you have notice any unusual activity.
 
Kineton Ward
 
Kineton - Market Square
Vehicle crime – 03.07.15/194
Volvo V70, blue – no sign of forced entry, but overnight the secured vehicle was entered and a chain saw and strimmer stolen from the rear area.
 
Kineton – Market Square
Vehicle damage – 03.07.15/099
Fiat Punto, burgundy – overnight, near side passenger window smashed but nothing removed from the vehicle.
 
Lighthorne – Spinney Close
Suspicious circumstances – 01.07.15/169
Report of a male asking for watches or old coins. The informant indicated he may have such items and allowed access whilst he checked. The male said he would return later, which he did so after approximately one hour but was not given any items. He left on foot. Nothing was stolen. Police visited and gave advice on security measures.
 
Kineton – Pittern Hill, farm property
Suspicious circumstances – 30.06.15/272
Report of travellers attempting to sell generators.
 
Burton Dassett
 
Burton Dassett Country Park
Anti-social behaviour – 03.07.15/478
Report of American style truck driving fast, damaging grass and performing handbrake turns around parked cars. There were large numbers of people in the park watching Northern Lights.
