Neighbourhood Team Report 21 – 01.05.15
This report from the Wellesbourne
Safer Neighbourhood Team covers the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne,
Kineton and Burton Dassett.
The following incidents, for the
period between 22.04.15 to 01.05.15, have been reported and the team are
appealing for witnesses:
Wellesbourne –
Hotchkiss Close
Burglary – 22.04.15/235
A teak table and two teak chairs,
value £410, have been taken from a shed over the winter months – unfortunately
the exact date is unknown.
Morton Morrell –
Near to school
Vehicle crime – 22.04.15/244
A pink and black shoulder bag has
been stolen from a parked car. SNT made enquiries locally, which proved
negative, and visited the informant at home.
Wellesbourne –
Redhill Close
Suspicious circumstances/ damage –
reported 23.04.15/111
On 16.04.15 a male cleared out the
guttering. He then demanded £680 but the owner offered £100. The male ripped
off a drainpipe and left, He is described as aged 60, of a stocky build and
with grey hair.

has been circulated via the NHW scheme.
Wellesbourne –
Barclays Bank
Theft – 27.04.15/095
The card reader has been removed
from the ATM – no CCTV evidence from local camera.
Wellesbourne –
Cricket Club
Vehicle crime – 27.04.15/178
A Citroen Berlingo van was broken
into by snapping the handle off the passenger door and assorted drills and saws
were removed. The SNT made an extensive leaflet drop to local houses with full
contact details for potential witnesses.
Wellesbourne – Hammond Green
Theft – 24.04.15/316
A green wheelie bin has been stolen
during the day.
Snitterfield – The
Green
Vehicle theft – 25.04.15/086
The passenger window of a grey
Suzuki was smashed and a bag containing JBL speakers stolen. Cash and a SATNAV
were left in the vehicle.
Walton - Walton
Hall
Theft – 30.04.15/257
Several guests have reported that
credit/debit cards have been removed from bedrooms. CCTV has recorded the
offenders as a male and female.
Charlecote
Suspicious circumstances – 27.04.15/124
Report of a telephone call from a
PCSO asking for a donation of £100 towards a sports club for delinquent
children. This is a suspicious call as the SNT are definitely not involved in
this matter.
Lighthorne –
Birdhaven Close
Theft – 26.04.15/242
3 garden shrubs have been stolen
from a garden.
Lighthorne – Chesterton Road
Burglary – 01.05.15/078
50 chickens have been stolen from
stables
Southam – Farm
location
Burglary – 24.04.15/356
An attempt was made to enter a shed
by smashing the rear and removing insulation sheets but the offenders were
disturbed.
Wellesbourne
Anti-social behaviour - vehicles
The SNT are continuing to pay
attention and engage when they are on late shifts.
Wellesbourne –

Anti-social behaviour/ damage
The SNT are aware of graffiti on
fences and NHW signs in this area.

Suspicious Incidents or Circumstances
The team would like to express their
appreciation for your reports of suspicious activities in the neighbourhood. If

incident is logged.
