This report from the Wellesbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team
covers the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne, Kineton and Burton Dassett.
The following incidents, for the period between 22.03.15 to
05.04.15, have been reported and the team are appealing for witnesses:
Wellesbourne – Barclays Bank
Damage – 23.03.15/109
ATM damaged, but still operable. Offenders probably
disturbed.
Wellesbourne – Willett Gardens
Theft – 27.03.15/113
A male exited a yellow van and stole a desktop computer and
two boxes of crockery from the back of a car that was being unloaded. The
registration number was noted and the incident has been followed up by the
police.
Wellesbourne – Whitehead Drive
Vehicle Crime – 30.03.15/142
A Landrover Defender, green, registration number DK02ORO was
stolen at 12.26.
Wellesbourne – Ettington Close
Damage – 01.04.15/280
Offenders have painted a tag on two fence panels. Police
visited to follow up the incident.
Ashorne – Farm location
Burglary – 02.04.15/104
Offender entered through unlocked back door, took vehicle
keys from the kitchen work surface and stole the vehicle worth £30,000. The
vehicle was recovered and police are investigating the crime.
Wellesbourne – Mountford Close
Burglary – 02.04.15/117
A Karcher pressure washer has been stolen from an unlocked
garden shed. It is believed that the offender entered though a garden gate that
leads to the allotments. House to house enquiries were carried out but were
negative.
Wellesbourne – Dovehouse Drive
Damage – 04.04.15/341
Youths were seen running away from the post box. The front
of the box had been opened and there were burn marks to some of the post. The
letters were reposted.
Lighthouse Filling Station
Burglary – 23.03.15/027
Entry was made through rear of the building and there has
been substantial damage to wall panels. This appears to be a burglary with
intent and it is not yet known what has been taken.
Kineton – Park Piece
Damage – 23.03.15/096
A vehicle has been scratched down the whole of the
driver’s side of the vehicle, which was parked for a local event.
Gaydon – Banbury Road
Vehicle crime – 31.03.15/065
150l of petrol has been siphoned from one vehicle and 50l
from another. The vehicles were parked secured in a yard.
Morton Morrell – Deerpark Drive
Vehicle crime – 31.03.15/231
A Lambretta scooter, worth £7000 was stolen after the owner
had broken down on the Fosseway. The scooter was secured by the steering lock
and the owner had the keys with him. The scooter has the number 69 on both rear
panels and the front mudguard is chromed. Registration number is AUE862S.
