This report from the Wellesbourne
Safer Neighbourhood Team covers the wards of Snitterfield, Wellesbourne,
Kineton and Burton Dassett.
The following incidents, for the
period between 01.03.15 to 07.03.15, have been reported and the team are
appealing for witnesses:
Pathlow – Gospel Oak Lane
Burglary – 02.03.15.15/0182
Offenders have prised the back off
the shed and removed a strimmer and chainsaw. Crime prevention advice was given
regarding smart water and shed alarms, and this was well received.
Morton Morrell – Holy Cross
Church
Burglary – 01.03.2015/0242
Signs of an attempt to open an
external door, with possibly a crow bar. No items have been reported as
missing.
Wellesbourne –
Market
Vehicle Crime – 07.03.2015/0173
Offenders have forced off the handle
of a van and stolen a black leather bag containing a Lloyds bank card, driving
licence and a Sony gaming device.
Lighthorne – St Lawrence Church
Burglary – 01.03.2015/242
The alarm sounded and the vestry
door had been forced open. Nothing was disturbed or taken. The church was
unlocked at the time. Advice was given and SNT will pay particular attention to
local churches.
Stratford Police Station's front
counter service will remain open while the station undergoes some alterations
during March and April 2015.
Whilst the refurbishment takes place
the current front counter will be closed and in its place will be a separate
portacabin building where the front counter staff will be housed.
This will not impact upon the level
of service which is currently provided.
The staff will move out from
approximately Monday 9 March, for a period of 6 weeks. The portacabin will be
located around the side of the building, and signage will be placed to direct
members of the public wishing to visit the temporary front counter facility.
